Schaumburg September Fest Parade Pics
We had a blast at the Schaumburg September Fest parade today but not nearly as much fun as the pups! They were a big hit and had hundreds of people petting them as we walked the parade route (hopefully some future ROMP forever families and foster families). Remember – adopt, don’t shop! and check out our rescues that are available for adoption if you are looking to add a furry friend to your family or contact us if you are interested in fostering – it saves lives too!

The Italian Greyhound Rescue was in the parade to let the community know to adopt (don’t shop) and showcase some of our available adoptable pups (including the Italian Greyhound puppies). You can get pure bread puppies through shelters and rescues, you don’t have to go to a pet store or go to a breeder. It made us feel amazing to hear and see all the people appluading us, thanking us for all we do to help the voiceless furry friends. We left with many warm fuzzy feelings inside and cars of tired pups as we went home after our ‘Italian Greyhound parade’ at the Schaumburg Sepetmber Fest parade.
We hope to be back next year and beef up our presence! Until then, enjoy the pictures from the parade below!
Here are some outtakes from before and after the parade, the pups were romping around in the staging area and the post-parade area.
Everyone at the parade that had a dog or said they had a dog got one of these yummy doggy goody bags our wonderful volunteer, Heather, made! We passed out about 500 doggy goody bags!
