Backyard Breeder Rescues are cleaned up!
Mary at Love My Pet in Dyer, IN helped us clean up some of the worst matted messed we’ve seen. The poor Yorkie (Sinatra) and Maltese (Elvis) had chunks of petrified feces/urine/hair wrapped around their legs like cuffs. It was a horrific sight but she worked her magic and they are looked very dashing now! Because they had minimal human contact for roughly 3 years, they are undersocialized and will need forever families that can introduce them to the lavish life of a pampered pet as well as patiently work on potty training. Despite their initial appearance, they are quite friendly, enjoy being petting and the little yorkie boy (now name Sinatra) prefers to stay by your side (and has a little tail that goes a million miles a minute when he sees you – how cute).
Please, when purchasing a pet from a breeder, make sure they are a reputable breeder. Any reputable breeder will be willing to accept a dog back in the event you do not feel they are a good fit. A reputable breeder will want to make sure your home will be the best fit for the pup and usually do a home visit. Reputable breeders do not ship pets or do online sales without meeting the owners first. Reputable breeders know a lot about a specific breed and do not have more than 1 type of breed for sale.
