Dog Transport Rescue
Holidays are such a hard time for our hearts at ROMP because we know many of the kill shelters euthanize their ‘inventory’ as it is a slow time for adoptions, we help as much as we can and take part in dog transport rescue missions. We committed to rescuing these furry friends last holiday season after finding they were on death row. After the Southern Illinois Transport was completed, they were nursed back to health and socialized by loving foster families. They are living happy lives with good food, soft blankets, treats, toys, and lots of love!
Here are some photos of them after the dog transport rescue!
If you have room in your heart and home this holiday season to foster a furry friend, please, contact us!
This is a small poodle puppy we rescued, we named him Snuggles.
Nora has two different colored eyes, she was very timid upon arrival and wouldn’t socialize with us nor the other dogs. But, she has come a long way and is doing great these days!
Nora came in from the dog transport rescue with another Pomeranian named Rosy.
Rosy was social, playful, and well adjusted upon arrival – quite a different story from Nora.
Arnie stole our heart, he was so tiny and adorable! Although he was missing a few teeth, this former mill-stud just wanted to be held and loved!
Foxy came in a different dog transport rescue. She was a former pet that was given up to a kill-shelter after they did not want her anymore. This lovely lady came to us pregnant! She later had for adorable puppies and both mama and children are all doing well.
